"October Vision #1 " is an abstract painting with a vibrant and dynamic composition. The impressionist-style artwork features a variety of colors of an early autumn landscape as seen through the artist's studio window. The colors, green (grass), yellow (leaves), blue (sky), white (clouds), tan (pavement), and orange (leaves), are blended and layered using a palette knife technique to create a sense of movement and depth. The "brushstrokes" are visible and varied, contributing to the impasto-textured surface and aliveness of the painting. This is the first in a two-part painting series.
